Teaching & Learning
Certified teacher with the highly regarded Iyengar Yoga Association since 1997, I aim to provide an inclusive range of learning opportunities to benefit diverse bodies…..promote access to learning yoga for all. Iyengar yoga teachers are trained to guide students and modify posture work according to individuals mobility and health requirements. We demonstrate, and talk you through your practise, focusing on extension and alignment, to improve your health and reduce stress.
News
Classes are currently online. We are preparing for returning to the Birmingham Yoga Studio in the Buddhist Centre, and hoping to deliver weekly ‘hybrid’ classes – bookable for attendance in the studio, and available online (Zoom).
Community
- connectivity is key
“Asanas keep the body in harmony with nature”
I run groups which start with yoga practice to look after the body, and promote a network of support eg. for women, and carers, to help each other to keep well. I am happy to bring yoga to your community centre, place of worship, office, sports club, care home, or a setting it hasn’t reached before!
About Me
“Yoga is the artwork of awareness on the canvas of body, mind and soul”
“Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul, create the symphony of life.”
I came to yoga as a teenager, sparked by my passion for art, developing interests in philosophy, and psychology, drew me to explore some meditation practices, then I found the connection with yoga – and with that all the benefits of working with the body! ……………………………………………………………
